2017 Invermere Downtown Light Up Theme!

Light Up will be taking place on Saturday, November 18th, 2017. This year the Light Up theme is “Memories of a Childhood Christmas.”

View local window displays, participate in the Snowball Drop in Cenotaph Park, warm up by a fire pit on 7th Ave, sip hot chocolate, enjoy live music watch the Santa Claus parade and much more!

2:30pm- 4:00pm- Photos with Santa at the Best Western. Proceeds to the Christmas Bureau,  Cash photos $10 each!

2:30pm-4:30pm- Cookie decorating at Quality Bakery.

3:00pm-4:00pm- Dos Equis playing live in Cenotaph Park. 

4:00pm-5:00pm- Valley Forged playing live in Cenotaph Park.

5:00pm- Santa Claus parade with be taking place down 7th Ave to the Bank of Montreal/ CIBC.

After the parade there will be the Official Light Up where we turn on Invermere's downtown Christmas lights, followed by Carols by Candlelight at the Cenotaph Park lead by the Valley Voices Choir!

 Snowballs of savings will float down from the sky to waiting shoppers at 1:00 pm to kick off Light Up on November 18th, 2017. The snowball drop will be a fun event for all ages and will be free for the community to participate. Non-perishable food items for the food bank is encouraged. Community members are invited to gather at Cenotaph Park to catch snowballs (ping pong balls) as they fall from the sky. Hundreds of ping-pong balls will be dropped from above! Each snowball will represent a specific discount, gift or prize from local businesses. THESE SAVINGS AND PRIZES ARE AMAZING!! I will not tell you what they are but I can promise you that you will be extremely happy!! Customers may redeem their snowballs for prizes and discounts at participating businesses and restaurants with corresponding numbers throughout the Columbia Valley. 3 PING PONG BALLS PER PERSON!!
